HerRise STEM Squad is a two-week, project-based College and Career Exploration Program that exposes students to traditional and non-traditional STEM careers through hands-on activities and mentorship. Hosted each summer on the campus of Molloy University, the program empowers high school girls from underserved communities with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to explore STEM fields and future career paths.

HerRise STEM Squad is part of a broader College and Career Enrichment initiative, offering monthly spring and fall activities in addition to its intensive summer STEM curriculum. The program meets the needs of diverse learners and ultimately addresses the under-representation of women in STEM fields.

Students accepted into the summer program are selected through a formal application process and receive a grant for completing the program, ensuring that participants—many of whom might otherwise need a summer job—can take full advantage of this opportunity to learn, grow, and prepare for their futures. In addition to exploring STEM pathways, students also gain foundational skills in financial literacy, communication, teamwork, and professional development.
