HerRise PitchFest Will Be Streamed Live on Thursday March 31st, 2022 via Zoom and live on HerSuiteSpot.com
NEW YORK, NY–This Women’s History Month, HerSuiteSpot and National Grid have teamed up to help women of color-led businesses in need of an influx of cash through the HerRise PitchFest. The fastest growing group of entrepreneurs have experienced the most challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic and are still in need of support in order to grow and thrive. HerSuiteSpot is helping women of color entrepreneurs secure the capital, mentorship and expertise needed to grow and scale their businesses.
“There is nothing more important than amplifying the voices of women of color as they create success in their own businesses. National Grid is excited to support HerSuiteSpot through our Project C commitment to community initiative where we stand for social justice,” said Melanie Littlejohn, National Grid Vice President, Customer and Community Management. “Women of color are the fastest-growing group of female entrepreneurs and we want to ensure that momentum keeps going.”

“The goal of the HerRise PitchFest is to build economic strength for the advancement of our community, which is why we are also excited to partner with National Grid to add to the rich history of minority entrepreneurship in New York,” Ms. Guerrier emphasized.
The upcoming HerRise PitchFest, will feature 3 women of color entrepreneurs pitching their businesses for one to receive a $5,000 grant, mentoring and prizes.
The competition will be streamed live via zoom and on hersuitespot.com on Thursday March 31, 2022 at 6:00 pm EST.
The grant is open to women of color small business owners with a registered business in New York State, must be 51% owned by a woman of color, business registered before March 2020, have a revenue of under $100K. All eligible business should submit applications until Tuesday March 19, 2022 11:59PM EST at www.hersuitespot.com.
