From a Canopy Tent to a Food Trailer: How Bonita Pour Co. Is Building More Than a Business

Every successful business begins with an idea. Some begin with a family tradition. Others begin with a promise.

For Distiny Banister, founder of Bonita Pour Co., entrepreneurship became an opportunity to build something special—not only for her community, but alongside her daughter.

That journey has earned Distiny the title of HerSuiteSpot’s June HerRise MicroGrant Winner.

Across America, food trucks have become one of the fastest-growing segments of the restaurant industry, giving entrepreneurs an affordable way to introduce new culinary experiences while creating vibrant gathering spaces within their communities. As food truck culture continues to expand into smaller cities and towns, businesses like Bonita Pour Co. are helping shape what local entrepreneurship can look like.

Nearly two years ago, Distiny and her 11-year-old daughter launched Bonita Pour Co. with little more than a canopy tent, determination, and a vision. Their concept was simple but unique: introduce handcrafted Dirty Sodas and refreshing lemonades to a market where those specialty beverages had yet to exist.

The response was immediate.

Customers embraced the creativity, quality, and experience Bonita Pour Co. brought to local events. What began as a small weekend venture quickly proved there was demand for something different.

Like many entrepreneurs, growth brought new challenges. Serving more customers meant investing in larger equipment and creating a more permanent mobile operation. Determined to keep the promise she made to her daughter, Distiny recently purchased a food trailer—the next major step toward expanding the business.

Receiving the HerRise MicroGrant comes at exactly the right time.

The funding will be used to complete the trailer’s title work and permitting process, helping Bonita Pour Co. officially hit the road and serve even more families, festivals, and community events.

At HerSuiteSpot, we often say that capital doesn’t simply fund businesses—it fuels momentum.

For entrepreneurs like Distiny, even a modest investment can unlock the next phase of growth. It transforms an idea into infrastructure. It turns a side business into a scalable opportunity. Most importantly, it allows founders to continue building legacies their families can be proud of.

Bonita Pour Co. represents more than a beverage trailer. It represents entrepreneurship across generations—a mother showing her daughter what is possible through hard work, resilience, and keeping your word.

This is exactly why the HerRise MicroGrant exists.

Every month we invest in founders who are solving problems, creating opportunities, and building businesses that strengthen their communities. Distiny Banister is doing all three.

Congratulations again to our June HerRise MicroGrant winner, Distiny Banister. We look forward to watching Bonita Pour Co. continue to grow—one refreshing drink and one unforgettable customer experience at a time.
